Dr Ashley Kim

Qualifications

B Chiro, Dip App Sc, CA

Dr Ashley Kim’s interest in chiropractic began after experiencing care herself for back pain and seeing the benefits of a natural, non-invasive approach to recovery. She completed her studies at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and has since worked across Auckland and Sydney, primarily supporting busy working professionals.

Now practising at Chiropaedic in St Leonards, Dr Ashley takes a thorough, individualised approach to care. She takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, lifestyle and goals, with a strong focus on clear communication and helping patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their care.

Her treatment may include Diversified manual adjustments, Activator Technique, Thompson Technique using drop-table assisted adjustments, and Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT). Having completed the SOT Foundation Series, she also incorporates Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT) and cranial work where appropriate.

Using a broad range of techniques allows Dr Ashley to adapt care to the individual rather than relying on one treatment style. Some patients prefer traditional manual adjustments, while others are more comfortable with gentler, low-force or drop-table techniques. Soft tissue work may also be used, while patients with postural concerns may be supported with advice, exercises and postural rehabilitation, including Denneroll spinal orthotics where appropriate.

Dr Ashley commonly sees patients with back and neck pain, headaches, stiffness, posture-related tension, nerve-related symptoms and injuries, as well as pregnancy-related discomfort and musculoskeletal concerns associated with prolonged sitting, work demands, stress and everyday activity.

Recommendations are guided by clinical findings and patient preference, with no pressure to commit to ongoing care.

Fluent in English and Korean, Dr Ashley is committed to providing calm, attentive and personalised chiropractic care.
